I AM DAVE blew my mind! Loved the art style and the different conspiracies in the game. By the way with all those pizza boxes, "DAVE" might have a secret career as a professional pizza eater! 🍕😄 I highly recommend playing I AM DAVE.
This game was awesome! It feels so surreal and weird but in a good way, like living in a dream. The music was also great and the ending just left me thinking. great experience I recommend!
I had a fun time with this game! I thought this was just a neat little game about a guy with a funny plot twist, until I saw that it was submitted to a game jam that ended not too long ago! The atmosphere was eerily awkward (In a good way) and I love the random interactions between the characters! Keep up the good work! Why do people keep talking about "PS1 visual style", yet shadows are rendered by the engine instead of manually drawn on the textures? Welp, at least this description says "inspired"
PS1 visual style consists of a lot of parts, while working on it we took from it low-poly forms with pixelated textures, but because we are working with modern engine it allowed us to combine it with rendered light + we don’t have any colour limitations, which in the end allowed us to create a very colourful style :)
our goal was to create something new while being inspired by the old aesthetics
Yeah, yeah. I mean, as you said in the description, it is inspired to PS1 style, not actual. Though, as someone who likes PS1 style, i do search for lack of actual shades and colour limitations
There are a few bugs of course. Triggering a dialog on one object on the desk and then triggering a second object mixes the letters together resulting in incoherent jumble. Also, the part in the convenience store was very hard to figure out what the character needed to buy. Other than that, it would be a great game.
You as a player choose the meaning for yourself, for some it's just funny little game about funny little guy, for some it indeed has a much deeper meaning Thank you for the video :)
I really loved the style of this game. It was unsettling but in a really unique way. Also interesting to see horror done where darkness, shadows, and jumpscares are never a theme.
